With this manufacturing platform, all the photosynthetic microbes need is precise light and carbon dioxide captured from the atmosphere. Once a microbe that contains the target product has been produced and optimized, it then makes its way to pilot, where it’s grown from hundreds of cells per milliliter to hundreds of millions per milliliter in bioreactors containing thousands of liters.

The process captures carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and the waste produced is clean oxygen and water.
