Transforming Algae into Carbon-neutral Fuel

In Altamonte, Florida, AECOM, and their project partner Genifuel, are transforming algae from wet waste products into a carbon-neutral clean biocrude oil that is nearly identical to its fossil equivalent. This patented hydrothermal processing technology uses heat and pressure similar to how fossil crude oil is formed — but does it in about 30 minutes instead of millions of years.
