Seaweed is being used increasingly by firms as a solution to capture carbon, reduce methane when used in animal feed, and cut down the use of plastic.

UK firm Notpla, which makes packaging from seaweed, has been named one of the £1m winners of the Earthshot climate prize. The Prince of Wales was in Singapore ahead of the awards ceremony for the Earthshot prize this week, with an added visit to Notpla’s operations.
